Steve Archuleta

Steve Varges/Archuleta Jr.

July 11, 1954 - February 15, 2020

Our beloved Steve passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at his home in Grand Junction, CO at 65 years of age.

He was born in Grand Junction, CO to Steve Sr. and Mercy of Grand Junction.  His father, Steve Sr. preceded him in death as well as his brothers Frank Sam Archuleta and Ronald W. Archuleta.

He is survived by his mother, Mercy Archuleta of Grand Junction, brothers:  Richard Archuleta (Cathy) from Littleton, CO, Robert Archuleta from Grand Junction, CO, David Archuleta (Melissa) from Wooster, AR, sisters Cora Ferales from Grand Junction, CO and Claudette Meinke from Colorado springs, and many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

He lived each day to the fullest and enjoyed many passions including Harley Davidsons and creating Native American Art.  Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing with his beloved mom and fishing with “The Boys.”

He enjoyed his job and was a very hard worker.  He worked at United Sand and Gravel in Grand Junction, CO alongside his Uncle Joe Sanchez and his brother Robert Archuleta.

A celebration of his life will be held at Elm Avenue Baptist Church:  1510 North 17th Street Grand Junction, CO. 81501 at 1 pm on Saturday, February 22, 2020.  There will be a memorial potluck luncheon after the service.
