Sonja Kent

The life of Sonja Sue Kent will be honored on Thursday December 9th, 2021 at Brown’s Funeral Services 904 N. 7th St Grand Junction, CO.  Please come by anytime between 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. This will be an open house where you can listen to the recorded sermon by Pastor Dan Baker and enjoy a slide show presentation with music.

Sonja Sue Kent was born on April 4th, 1954 to Bonnie and Harold Gilbert in Salem, Oregon. She married Gary in Stafford, Kansas in October of 1976. She is proceeded in death by her sons Robert Hank Parks, Jamey Baxter Borders and her parents Harold and Bonnie Gilbert.

She is survived by loved ones and many children across the globe. She is the sister of Beverly Madaris, Karleen Cooper, Harold Gilbert and Stanley Gilbert.
She was the Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to a heartful of people.  Sonja was the very talented owner and operator of Homespun Shipping & Gifts in Clifton, Co.

For those who would like to attend the graveside services they will be at 1:00pm at the Palisade Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and meals which are so gracious of you, please pass on the love and generosity that Sonja showed so many times by helping someone in need or a donation to a local charity.
