Richard Nottingham

January 15, 1952 — June 10, 2022

Richard “Dick” Eugene Nottingham passed away on July 10, 2022, at the age of 70 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by those who loved him most.

Dick was born on January 15, 1952, to proud parents John Robert & Lenora Pearl Nottingham in Ponca City, Oklahoma.  The family, including his two brothers John and Jim, migrated to California in 1955, where he lived until moving to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1992. In 1973, he married his soulmate & best friend Pamela Nottingham with whom he shared 49 years of marital bliss.  He is survived by her as well as his son Jeffrey Scott Nottingham, daughter Janna Leigh Vanner, daughter-in-law Danielle Nottingham, son-in-law Russell Vanner, and his two treasured grandsons Tyler & Mason Vanner.

Dick was a successful entrepreneur, avid outdoorsman, cooking & gardening enthusiast, and above all, a devoted family man.  He had a caring soul that was quick to laugh and easily made anyone around him smile.

He has been known as “The Man, the Myth, The Legend,” in some circles.

He had a life-long love affair with fast cars, a hard bargain, Lake Powell cruising, and loved the game of golf.  Retirement opened up new hobbies such as Wood Turning and Pour Painting.  His sweet tooth was legendary, and dessert was typically served with his morning coffee.

Dick may have only been with us for 70 years, but he lived the life of ten men.   He leaves a legacy that is enduring and is a legend that is irreplaceable.
