Rhondal Groves

RhondaI (Rhondy, Ron) passed away November 22 at the VA Hospital, the son of Walter W. and Alma I Groves of Fruita. He spent most of his life in Fruita, CO.

He is survived by four sons, Shawn, Trinity and Michael of Fruita and Terry (Amanda) of Michigan and a granddaughter Hazel, Two brothers Marvin (Ronda) of Fruita and Jim (Deb) of Arizona, two sisters

Sue (Tom) Downey and Karen (Jerry) Orth of Fruita. He is preceded in death by his parents. A brother Elton J. Russell recently passed Thanksgiving Day.

After graduating high school he joined the Navy and saw many countries.  After returning home he helped with the family farm and cattle operation. He was a CPRCA rodeo judge for many years which he enjoyed. He had a freeze branding business for many years and branded horses all over the state. He worked as a union carpenter on various projects around western Colorado.
