Marilyn Howell

April 15, 1942 — November 19, 2020

Marilyn S. Howell was born on April 15, 1942 in Springfield, Illinois to Esther and Laurence Holman, and died on November 19, 2020 in Grand Junction, Colorado at St. Mary's. She was 78 years young.

Marilyn grew up in the Denver area where she met and married her husband, Robert F. Howell, of 54 years. They lived in the Arvada and Golden areas and raised their four children. Marilyn worked most of her life in manufacturing and retired from Coors Porcelain in April 2007.

Marilyn is survived by her sister Isabelle Holman; daughters Susan (Jeff) Statz, Lori Formanek and Amy (Richard) Root; son Warren (Brigette) Howell; grandchildren Caryn, Corey, Zach, Kim, Joey, Phillip and Jessica; and great grand-children Makayla, Jaiden, Hannah, Zoee, Xander and Colten (little munchkin). Marilyn's first great-great grandson, Nohea is expected in March 2021.

Marilyn enjoyed baking, watching her TCM and Hallmark movies, and visiting with her family. Marilyn kept track of everyone's birthdays and always sent a card (with age money + one to grow on) to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marilyn was an avid Denver sports fan and enjoyed watching the Broncos, Nuggets, Rockies, and Avalanche. She will be remembered for her generosity and faith. Even in hard times, Marilyn gave generously to many non-profit charitable organizations.

A celebration of life will occur in April 2021. In lieu of flowers. please make a donation to the American Heart Association in Marilyn Howell's name.
