Janette Kay Alstatt Theuer-December 29, 1943-January 7, 2022

Janette passed away unexpectedly on January 7, 2022.

Janette was born in Fruita, Colorado to Milton and Lona Alstatt. She attended

elementary school at the old New Liberty school house.  She graduated from

Fruita High School in 1961 and attended Mesa Junior College.  Janette married

Charles Theuer on August 10, 1968.

Janette worked for several trucking companies in Grand Junction for over 38

years.  Janette was a charter member of the Grand Junction Chapter of the

American Business Women’s Association.  She was honored as the Colorado

Woman of the Year in 1994.  She knitted many hats and blankets for newborn

babies in the community.  She also donated many gallons of blood at St. Mary’s

Blood Center.  For many years Janette decorated cakes for weddings and birthdays.

She also made many cakes for the Lion’s Club Carnival.

She was fond of miniature Schnauzers and rescued many over the years.

She is survived by her husband Charles, three brothers, Dave (Ellin), Gary (Dora), Dale and three stepchildren: Ralph Theuer, Robin Sparling and Renee Newsome and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and sister Karen Alstatt Fuoco.

She requested no services.

Brown’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
