Gary Lee Rupp, age 63, passed away March 21, 2020.
He was born October 22, 1956, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction. He was the son of Valentine and Verna Rupp of Palisade, Colorado.
Gary grew up in Palisade and attended Palisade High School.
Gary was a Master Electrician and loved his work. After learning his trade with a couple of electrical companies, he began working for Mesa County Valley School District 51 along with running his own electrical business. He retired from the School District in 2010 and then continued to serve others with his own electrical business from then until his death.
Gary was a Palisade Lion and served as President on the Palisade Rural Fire Protection District Board of Directors. He recently donated many hours of his time wiring the Palisade Historical Museum that is now being built in Palisade.
Gary loved to water ski, ride 4 wheelers, travel to square dances and hike. He always shared a funny thought to bring smiles to everyone he met. He was a hard working, kind, generous man who loved his family and God immensely.
He is survived by his parents, Valentine and Verna Rupp; his wife, Gayle; his son, Bryan (Leah) Rupp; his daughter, Melissa (Karl) Belden; his brother, Richard (Pat), and his grandchildren, Wellington and Pearl Rupp.
