Deloris Magers

October 29, 1924 — September 10, 2021

Dee Magers, 96, passed away at home in Glade Park, CO on Sept 10, 2021.

Dee was born on Oct 29, 1924, the second of ten children, to Wilbert and Millie Hahn in Jennings, KS. She grew up in the New Almelo, KS area, attended Spring Branch Grade School and Lenora Rural High School. On July 9, 1951, she married Rea Magers. Dee was a telephone operator, both in Chicago where Rea attended college, and in Denver, CO for the first years of their marriage. After moving to the mountains west of Denver, Dee enjoyed being a homemaker and mother of two children. In retirement, Rea and Dee moved to Norcatur, KS, where they renovated a farmhouse and opened an antique store, operating it together for over 15 years. Collecting and attending local auctions and events was a great pastime for them both, along with traveling, camping, fishing, and creating great memories with family and friends.

After her husband Rea passed in 2013 and her son Jeff passed in 2017, Dee moved to Lakewood, CO to be closer to family. More recently, this past year, she moved to a rural area with daughter, Cheri, and son-in-law Bob Pomeroy. Dee was a caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Dee is survived by three sisters, Erma Alexander, Mary Lou Williams, and Marjorie Dymond, two brothers, Lou Hahn, and Larry Hahn, three sisters-in-law Imogene Hahn, Norma Hahn and Sue Hahn, one brother-in-law Kenny, daughter Cheri Pomeroy (husband Bob), grandson Zachary Pomeroy (wife Brenda) and great granddaughter Ryan Pomeroy, and grandson Matt Pomeroy (wife Angie) and great granddaughter Freya Pomeroy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rea Magers, their son Jeff Magers, two sisters, Frances Sanza, and Regina Vifian, two brothers, Bill Hahn, and Charlie Hahn, sisters-in-law, Mary Hahn, Dorothy Magers, Margaret Magers, and Wilma Magers, brothers-in-law, Pete Sanza, Noel Alexander, Cliff Williams, Red Vifian, Ralph Magers, Carl Magers, and Dale Magers.

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at St Joseph's Cemetery in New Almelo, KS.
