Dan Vanover

May 19, 1948 — January 20, 2022

With great sadness, Danny Vanover went home to the Lord on January 20, 2022 after a long battle with Squamous Cell Carcinoma.

Danny was born to Dan and Betty Vanover on May 19, 1948.

He had been employed for  over 40 years by the City of Grand Junction as The Water Supply Supervisor in Kannah Creek, retiring in 2009 .

He is survived by his wife Dottie, 3 daughters, Shawntal Kingsley of Gilbert Arizona, Danyell (Brandon) Johnson of Yukon, Oklahoma, Stephanie (John) Pitton of Fruita, Colorado, and son Kip (Joni) Fraser of Grand Junction Colorado. He is a also survived by his mother Betty Christensen, two sisters Maryann (Jim) Land, and Debbie Stone (Tom) of Grand Junction, CO, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He enjoyed classic cars,

their cabin at Vega boating, snowmobiling and four wheeling, and their grand children.  He was a strong courageous man until the end who we loved so dearly and will be missed by many .  He loved his family and friends deeply and was always there when someone needed help. The stories and memories we have of him will keep us laughing forever.

We would like to thank all the amazing caregivers and HopeWest Hospice Nurses, CNAs and others who helped us through this difficult journey .

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to HopeWest Hospice in Grand

Junction.
