To Our Dearest Yvonne
A force of nature to be reckoned with, full of spirit and ferocity yet also the sweetest and most sensitive soul. In relationships, she inspired and pursued authenticity. She loved every single one of her family members with intensity and vulnerability.
We owe it to her memory to carry on the torch of love. Love was her religion. She empathized with everyone in her life: friends, family, and acquaintances. This guided her actions and as a result she helped many people, giving and sharing selflessly, moving through the world compassionately. She provided an impeccable experience and smile to everyone she greeted during her service industry, real estate, and medical office duties.
Yvonne was highly intelligent, a compelling communicator, and was blessed with unique perception. Brilliant in smile and smarts, she assisted many a peer in high school and after class tutored others in math. She achieved a Liberal Arts degree from CSU, her mother’s alma mater. There she met her late best friend, Kay North.
Yvonne brought immaculate attention to detail into her culinary talents, freelance writing, and caregiving. A priceless support to her mom and irreplaceable caregiver to her father during all of 2022/2023.
“Yve” as she was fondly referred to in her young life, shared a ‘dog walking empire’ with her siblings Hazel, Rachel, and Tyrone. She spent many months with her Aunt Kim in Florida where she learned many facets of the equine industry and became fiercely attached to all her equine charges. Yvonne cared for a family of boys for an extended period and fell in love with this nurturing role.
These are the deeds she will be remembered by. The love she gave, and the work she did out of love.
She is survived by her three brothers: Mac Gibson, Jomas Gibson and Tyrone Gibson, her sisters Hazel Gibson and Rachel Gibson, parents Marnie Benson and Charles Gibson, nephew Draven Joel Gibson and Grandmother Shirley M Herber.
We believe and trust that Yvonne is indeed “Dancing with The Stars” and that her spirit lives on in peace and freedom.
Yvonne's family held a simple memorial viewing on September 25, 2023, where we released her to the light. Our gratitude for all the heartfelt sentiments and help with expenses. A celebration of life is in the planning stages for some time next year.
We are so blessed by your expressions of love for the most gorgeous woman - Yvonne.
