William “Bill” Sumner Morrow, age 79 passed away on the 11th of June, 2025 in Rifle, Colorado
Born on December 30th 1945 in Rifle, Colorado. He then went on to graduate from Rifle High School in 1963, and also received his diploma from Colorado Mountain College.
He was a Veteran of the USNR-R having served as an EM2 until he was honorably discharged after 4 years in 1971. He served on the USS Intrepid aircraft carrier that is now a museum ship in Manhattan.
Bill has been employed as a metal artist and welder for the majority of his life. He also served as a coal miner and police officer for a short time.
He enjoyed the company of his friends and family, and expressing his personality through his art work. A lot of his art pieces can be found throughout the Valley.
He was an extraordinarily hard worker, an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, and one of the best men you could ever meet. He cherished every friendship dearly.
Bill was preceded in his death by his parents Dale W. and Marie Morrow, his brother Dennis and wife Mary Morrow of Golden Valley, AZ, his beloved wife Cindy, and his cherished daughter Kimberley. He is survived by his two grandchildren, Layn (Sedena) Ryden of Grand Junction, CO, Macy Cross of Oshkosh, WI. His four siblings Dale F (Jeanie) Morrow of St. Ignatius, MT, Loyal (Ann) Morrow of Kuna, ID, and Shannon (Steve) Morrow Stevens-Commers of Council, ID,
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 19th, 2025 at 11:00 am. At the Rifle Elks Lodge located at 501 W 5th St, Rifle, CO 81650
