In Memory of William Gardner Hunt

William Gardner Hunt was born on July 10, 1950, in New York, New York, and passed away on October 12, 2026 in Fruita, Colorado. At birth, he was adopted by Charles Gardner Hunt, Jr. and Murial Hunt (née Ray), who preceded him in death.

William is survived by his sister, Alicia Nix, and her husband, Bill Lind, of Fruita, Colorado; his cousin, Jean Corey, and her husband, Jack Corey, of St. Petersburg, Florida; and his nephew, Izzy Nix, and his wife, Chandele Nix, of Bennett, Colorado. He is also remembered by two special family dogs, Paxton and Humbug.

Family connections are a lasting part of our lives, and William was an important part of ours. We will remember him in our own ways, cherish the memories we shared, and carry his memory forward with love.

William had three great loves: rock ’n’ roll music, the New York Giants, and ice cream. As a drummer, he shared in the energy and spirit of the music he loved. Whether enjoying a favorite song, cheering on the Giants, or savoring a scoop of ice cream, these were some of the simple pleasures that made life special for him.
