Violeta (Violy) Inks, 71, of Grand Junction, CO was called home by her beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 21, 2026. She transitioned peacefully at home with family by her side.

Born on May 5, 1955, in Balamban, Cebu, Philippines, Violy was the second eldest of eight children, a natural nurturer who became a second mother to her younger siblings. That gift for caring followed her all her life, especially in her gentle way of connecting with children.

By trade, Violy was a cosmetologist, but her heart was always that of an artist and animal lover. She found joy in singing, writing, and music. Violy walked through life with a rare authenticity and loyalty that was unwavering.

Violy was a true survivor, having overcome hardships that would have broken most. She did so with steadfast conviction in her Faith. Her devotion to the Lord is worthy of all our praise and remembrance. She will be remembered as a faithful servant of God and a fiercely authentic soul.

Mrs. Inks is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years, James Inks; her son, Michael Renna; her daughter, Rio Bonds (Jason); two grandchildren; sisters, Lilia Rio Villaver, Margarita Rio, Merlina Rio, Linda Foster, Josephine Rio Canino. She was preceded in death by her parents Bregida and Tiburcio Rio; and brothers Modesto Rio and Teofilo Rio.
