Thelma Patty age 86 passed away January 16, 2022, at Grand View Care Lodge. Thelma was born March 19, 1935, to Harold and Juanita Dilts in Emporia Kansas and graduated from Emporia High School in 1953.

Thelma married James T. Patty Jr. July 31, 1955, in Emporia Kansas and in 1958 the couple moved to Greeley Colorado where they resided for the next10years and then on to Grand Junction in 1969

Thelma worked her entire career in the medical field retiring from St Mary's Hospital as a certified nurse’s aid in 1999.

Thelma is survived by her 2 sons Todd (Chris) Patty, Tim (Cindy) Patty, her brother Kenny (Donna) Dilts, her Sister Ollie Fowler, 4 Grandchildren, 8 Nieces/ Nephews. Thelma was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, her brother Richard Dilts and a Nephew Mike Fowler.

Thelma enjoyed going to lunch with her friends, watching basketball especially the Golden State Warriors since her favorite player was Stephen Curry, Fishing Vega Reservoir from the boat with her husband, going for walks with her dog, yard work, gardening and feeding birds. She loved to collect anything that had to do with ladybugs.

For years Thelma and her Grandson Bud maintained several beautiful flower beds down at the City Shops spending countless hours on weekends working on them, often times paying for the flowers in the Spring with her own money. This area was unofficially named Patty's Park back in 2010
