Sue Anne Carner

Sue Anne Carner, born on September 3, 1961, in Olathe, Colorado. She was 64 years old when she passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Her family likes to think of her birth as "sunshine" and her death as her "sunset."

Sue lived a life marked by vibrant energy and deep faith. A devoted Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart, she carried hope and joy wherever she went. Her adventurous spirit led her to embrace life fully—whether through travel, music, or simply basking in the sunshine she so dearly loved. Sue found beauty in the world around her and expressed it through decorating and surrounding herself with bright colors that reflected her radiant personality.

She had a special connection to butterflies, which symbolized her free-spirited nature and enduring sense of wonder. Those who knew Sue often saw her as a beacon of light—full of life and always ready to share laughter and love with those around her.

Sue was a loving mother to four children: Brandi, Crystal, Jesse, and Samantha. Though she endured the heartbreaking loss of her daughter Samantha in 2023, Sue’s strength and faith remained unshaken.

She is survived by her children Brandi, Crystal, and Jesse; seven grandchildren; sisters Dorinda and Beckie; brothers-in-law Kevin and Craig; and one brother, Shelby. Sue also leaves behind many nieces and nephews and her ex husband, Samuel Bartolo.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her—as vivid as the colors she loved and as enduring as the butterflies that reminded her of life’s beauty.

The family invites those who plan to attend her service to wear bright colors.

The service will take place on Saturday, September 13th from 4-6pm at 327 32 1/2 Rd in Palisade, Co. Appetizers and cold drinks will be provided.
