Sharon Kay Scott

October 1, 1950 — December 23, 2023

Sharon Kay Scott 73
Entered eternal rest December 23rd 2023 following a brief illness.
Sharon was born October 1st 1950 in Pueblo Colorado, the youngest of four children to the late
Walter and May Jean(Kelso) Ham.
Her family resided in Canon City, CO and Manitou Springs, CO during her childhood. She then
moved to California with her Mom and Step-Dad and Graduated In 1968 from Nordhoff High in
Ojai CA. She found herself in Albuquerque NM then back to Colorado before putting down roots
in Grand Junction to raise her son as a single Mom.
Sharon worked various jobs throughout her life, earned an associates in accounting and was
still recently providing Respite care, treating her client Ruby like part of the family.
Taking road trips was one of her favorite things to do. Whether it be with her best friends
(Marcia, Sally, Christine) to lunch, traveling across the state to spend time with her sister or
across the country to see her brother, she enjoyed her independence to get out and go. Her
latest adventure was a cruise to Rotan, Belize, Cozumel, Honduras and Cayman Islands.
Above all her greatest joy in life was her Family. She loved being a Grandma. She was the best
support and cheerleader attending every concert, activity, birthday or sports event. Always loud
and proud of her Grandkids. We will miss her cheering them on and celebrating their
achievements with us.
Sharon will be remembered by her wonderful sense of humor. She was kind hearted and
non-judgmental, truly authentic and cared for everyone she knew. She loved a good cup of
coffee and her flip-flops. Also very talented at cross-stitch and crochet, her hand made gifts are
extremely treasured and loved.
Preceded in death by both parents, Step-Dad Beverly Durret, dearly missed Sister Karen
Fransioli, Brother Michael and Niece Brenda.
Survived by Son Michael (Alicia) Scott of Grand Junction CO.
Four Grandchildren, Skyler Mcdonald, Braylen, Torhyn and Ayla Scott all of Grand Junction.
Brother Larry Ham of Goosecreek SC, Sister Kathie Moulton of Colorado Springs CO, many
special nieces and nephews, numerous Great and Great-great nieces and nephews whom she
all cherished. Recent reconnection with special person Sean Skeen of TX.
