Sarah Husted Cottier

Sarah Husted Cottier, age 90, died February 13, 2024, following a long struggle with Dementia.

Born November 11,1933, in New York City, Sarah was the daughter of Robert A Husted and Josephine E Bentson.

Sarah graduated from Asbury Park High School in Asbury Park New Jersey, and attended Dickinson College in Philadelphia.

Sarah worked several years as a stay- at- home mom before accepting a position as Secretary to the President of Ritter Corporation where she met and married her second husband, Stewart Cottier.

Always outgoing, friendly, and gregarious, Sarah loved gardening, crafts, hiking and traveling. Sarah always displayed a sunny, happy personality and loved to socialize and meet new people.

Sarah is preceded in death by her husband Stewart T Cottier and is survived by three daughters; Natalie Jill Tompkins, Jennifer Husted Tompkins (Tim Schmeckpeper), and Hilary Beth Tompkins. Sarah is additionally survived by three step-children, Allyson (Greg) McGinn, Laurie (Bob) Arranaga, and Mary Jane Cottier, as well as 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at a later date in Rochester, New York.
