Samuel Lanham Turner Jr

Samuel L. (“Skip”) Turner, age 74, died December 9, 2025 following a long illness. Born on December 21, 1950 in Spartanburg, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Samuel Turner Sr. and Margaret Lewis Turner. Sam graduated from Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina and was a loyal college football fan, trapshooter, and music enthusiast. Sam was known by those who loved him as an excellent storyteller and by any who encountered him as a man with Christian values who led his life with quiet kindness.

Sam is survived by his wife Nicole Maureen Turner, his sister Cynthia Turner (Howard Schiff), brother-in-law Victor Pfund (Alicia), nieces Jesika Matsuda and Gabrielle Pfund, and special family Josh Sommers and Morgan Sommers. Memorial services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Brown’s Cremation and Funeral Services (904 N. 7th St. Grand Junction, CO 81501).
