Sally Adah Benson, aged 69, peacefully passed away on November 8, 2023, in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was born on March 9, 1954, in Camden, NJ, and spent 25 beautiful years in Grand Junction, a place she called home and where she found solace amidst the majestic mountains she adored.

Sally was a cherished sister, a dear friend, and a confidant to many. Her gentle soul and unwavering love for dogs touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She possessed an adventurous spirit and a deep appreciation for the mountains, which truly reflected her character.

Sally's journey began in Stratford, NJ, where she attended Warwick Ave. School and later graduated from Sterling High School in 1974. Throughout her life, she demonstrated remarkable determination and work ethic, excelling in every endeavor she pursued. In 1997, Sally made a bold decision to relocate to Grand Junction, following her dreams and embracing her passion for the mountains. Surrounded by the splendor of nature and the companionship of horses, she found fulfillment and joy.

Sally will be deeply missed by her surviving brother, J Jeffrey Benson, aged 76, of Mays Landing, NJ, as well as her niece, Lisa, aged 51, of Berlin, NJ, and her two nephews, Jeff, aged 53, of Oaklyn, NJ, and Steve, aged 50, of Northfield, NJ. She is also survived by her four cousins, Cindy, Lori, Mark, and Candy. Sally was preceded in death by her mother, Helen K Hanna, her stepfather, Hank Hanna, and her father, John O. Benson.

In her leisure time, Sally found immense joy in her hobbies, particularly her love for dogs and horses. Her unwavering dedication to these passions, coupled with her kind and compassionate nature, left a lasting impact on the lives of those around her. Sally's remarkable spirit and the light she brought into the lives of others will forever be cherished and remembered.

To honor Sally's memory, friends and well-wishers are encouraged to make contributions by planting a tree in her name, a meaningful gesture that pays homage to her love for nature and her desire to preserve its beauty.
