Ruth Elizabeth Landis

Ruth Elizabeth Landis, age 80, died on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025 following a long battle with many ailments.

Born on April 13th, 1944, in Fullerton, California, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Landis.

Ruthie was a follower of Christ and member of Calvary Chapel for 50 years, with approximately 25 years spent at the Grand Junction Calvary Chapel, where she volunteered for many things, including teaching Sunday School, and in the nursery watching and cuddling with the babies, which was her favorite thing to do.

Ruthie’s favorite past time was anything to do with Jesus. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, hiking, gardening, horseback riding, playing cards, sports (especially football), and of course her family.

Ruthie has always been dedicated to her family. Family was very important to her, and she was always there for, and praying for, her friends and family. She was quite a prayer warrior.

Ruth was preceded in death by her brother John Landis, nephews Daniel Landis and Brian Landis, as well as niece Laura Landis.

Ruth is survived by her brothers David (Linda) Landis, and Jim (Tara) Landis, and her sisters, Mary Goble and Debra Childs.

Nephews; Don Goble, John Goble, James Goble, John (Donna) Landis, Chris (Frances) Landis, and Phillip (Eva) Landis.

Nieces; Joyce Perreira, Debra Ward, Jennifer (Mike) Courtney, Lorraine (Jason) Stricker, Kimberlee Toves, as well as many great and great great nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 2:00pm. Anyone who knew and loved Ruthie is welcome to attend.
