Roy Lee Young of Grand Junction, CO passed away March 21, 2026, at the Bee Hive Assisted Living, Grand Junction CO, at the age of 96. He was born in Phoenix, AZ on July 9,1929 to Roy O and Myrtle Young.

He was raised on farms in Deming NM and Willcox, AZ.

In 1954 he married Mildred Miskovich in Willcox, AZ, they were married for 65 years. He is survived by his sons Lee (Susan) and Jeff (Vicki) along with 3 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Roy farmed and ranched in Willcox, AZ, Rifle, Montrose, and Gunnison, CO. The Registered Hereford herd that started from one heifer and grew into Young Herefords and finally Rocky Mountain Hereford Ranch, gave him much pride. He enjoyed showing cattle and selling seedstock to other producers. This included sales all over the western US and Mexico. He was a member of the Willcox Masonic Lodge #10 and many different Order of the Eastern Star chapters for over 50 years. He was the last surviving Charter Member of the Willcox Elks Lodge #2131.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, parents, brothers, Jimmy and Gene Young and his brother-in-law Milo Miskovich.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Bee Hive Assisted Living and Hope West Hospice for their support.

Per his request no services will be held and cremation has taken place.
