Roxanne Susan Williams

Roxanne Susan Williams, age 61, passed away unexpectedly from a cardiac arrest in her home on June 3, 2025. Born July 1, 1963, in Glens Falls, New York, she was the daughter of the late George Austin Williams and Naomi Beverly Williams. She was one of nine children.

Roxanne grew up in Santa Barbara, California, and in upstate New York in Glens Falls and Queensbury, attending high school in Queensbury. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life living in many places but landed in Grand Junction, Colorado in 2000 where she met her husband, Mark McGirr, and was happily married to him for 24 years.

Roxanne loved to cook, crochet and was a great crafter. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals and baking. She was always thinking of things she could make to decorate her home.

Roxanne was thoughtful and kind to all she met. She always went out of her way to help anyone she could. She loved animals and would frequently rescue and feed stray and neglected animals.

Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Linda (Williams) Blackman, Ronald George Williams, Helen Marie (Williams) Starks, and George Austin Williams, Jr. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Alicia Brumm-Oliva.

Roxanne is survived by her husband, Mark Joseph McGirr, and her children, Clarence Austin Brumm (April (Brink) Brumm) of Mabel, Minnesota; Beverly Irene Brumm (Marvin Lopez) of Postville, Iowa; Garin Tyler VanMinsel, of Stanley, Wisconsin; and Heather Jane VanMinsel of Indianapolis, Indiana. She is also survived by her siblings, Richard Edward Williams of Crowley, Texas; Brenda Mae (Williams) Gossman of Indianapolis, Indiana; Timothy Allen Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada; and Darlene Kimberly (Willliams) Stratton of Indianapolis, Indiana. Roxanne is the grandmother of Austin Henry, Mason Brumm, Ricki Brumm, Sean Brumm, Aaliya Brumm-Lopez, and Arianna Brumm-Lopez.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
