Ronald Ray McKitrick

Ronald Ray McKitrick age 87 passed on April 11, 2023. 

Born September 5^th, 1935 he was the son of Raymond Lester McKitrick and Ramah Agnes McKitrick.  Ronald graduated from Wiley HS in Wiley, CO and Colorado State University in Ft Collins, CO.

He was a Veteran of the US Navy having served as a Petty Officer 3^rd Class in the Korean War

Ronald had been employed as a Superintendent in the Denver City and County Parks and Rec Department for 35 years.   Ronald was a member of the Brentwood United Methodist Church and Fruita United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and going to Bronco games.  He was always friendly but quiet and had a good sense of humor.  He was extremely dedicated to his family and faith and was always willing to help.

Ronald was preceded n death by his Father Raymond L McKitrick, Mother Ramah A McKitrick and Nephew James C Reese.

Ronald is survived by his Wife Patricia J McKitrick of Grand Junction, CO, Sister Joyce Reese of Pueblo, CO, Daughter Jody (Jerry) Schamber  of Fredericksburg, VA, Daughter Teri (Frank) Novotny of Grand Junction, CO, Grandson Scott A Schamber of Omaha, NE, Granddaughter Colleen M Schamber of RutherGlen, VA, Grandson Jeffrey D Schamber of Albuquerque, NM, Grandson Aaron (Carrie) Novotny of Reno, NV, Grandson Mark (Lindsey) Novotny of Castle Rock, CO, Great Grandsons  Cayden A Novotny and Gunnar E Novotny both of Castle Rock, CO.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday April 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM Fruita United Methodist Church, 405 E Aspen Av   Fruita, CO 81521
