1949 Ron 2025

Ron Merle Van Seggern

September 24, 1949 — November 8, 2025

Ron Merle Van Seggern, aged 76, passed away on the 8th of November 2025. His parents, Lilah I Bergelin and Randall L Van Seggern welcomed Ron on the 24th day of September 1949 in Wisconsin and baptized him on the 16th day of October the same year. Ron graduated Mishirot Community Highschool on the 8th of June 1967. The Navy called to him when he graduated, and he worked on large aircraft ships for Attack Squadron Forty-Two. In 1991, he won the Landfill Heavy Metal Competition. Originally supposed to be a judge, he jumped in when a competitor didn’t show up. He became the Mesa County Landfill Certified Manager and Heavy Equipment Operator on March 17th, 2000. Ron didn’t stop there; he also owned his own business and built his own custom tire bailer from scratch. Faith was a cornerstone of Ron’s being. He faithfully watched Sheperd’s Chapel’s stream every day at 5 a.m. His loved ones knew him as a proud, humble, and honest man who lived a simple life. He was a dear and loyal friend to many, with Jason Jowell and Corky Blair being his best friends. Jason had the honor of accompanying him during his passing. He is survived by his son: Brian Kahn, and Brother: Terry Van Seggern born December 16th, 1951. He will be sincerely missed.
