Robert Mcllveen

Robert John McIlveen (Bob) age 79, died on 03/11/2022 from a 4-year battle with COPD.  Bob was born on 08/11/1942 in the old mining town of Gilman, Colorado and was the son of Robert A. McIlveen & Regina Ruth McIlveen.

Bob grew up in Eagle County where he helped raise cattle and graduated from Eagle Valley High School in 1960.  He joined the Air Force in 1962 were he had several international tours as well as MacDill Airforce base prior to retiring in 1965 as an Airman 2nd class E-3.

Returning to Eagle, Bob went to work for Vail Associates where he helped build the ski area as we know it today.  Bob was instrumental in the development and expansion of Beaver Creek where he helped oversee Land development, Beaver Creek Transit, and was appointed as Director of Resort Operations. Bob also participated on 7 different town boards over the years before retiring after 40 years and moved to Grand Junction, CO.

Bob was preceded in death by his father Bob, mother Regina and his son David.

Survived by son John (Veronica) & Daughters Lisa (Jeremy) & Lori (Danny) & ex-wife Mary Ann Davenport.  Grand children Cory, Shane, Ashley & Megan McIlveen.

Celebration of life to be held on Saturday May 7th from 11:30am to 2pm
