Robert Likely

Robert Lamont Likely, age 80, passed away September 19th 2017 following a long illness.

Robert was born to William M. Likely and Zadie E. (Needham) Likely on August 25th 1937 in Julesburg Colorado.

Robert completed his High School experience by finishing with a GED.

He proudly served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  He was an A/2C (P) in the Military Police where he utilized a sentry dog during his duties.

Robert had been employed at AMTEK Dixon where he helped manufacture electronic components.

Even though Robert was quiet and reserved he was a gentle man with a big heart who thoroughly enjoyed serving.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge and served as a youth counselor for wayward boys of Denver, Colorado.

Roberts life reflected the love he had for the Lord.  He served as both Greeter and Usher at Clifton Assembly of God church and Usher at the Bethel Assembly of God church.

Robert enjoyed visiting with family and friends because he valued the quality relationships he had with each one.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters; Kathleen, Vivian, and Maxine, 1 brother; Kenneth, 2 step children; William J Puffer and Rita J Seely, 2 step grandchildren; Mercy R Puffer and Robert S Likely.  Robert is survived by his wife Joann Likely, step daughter Sandra Puffer, 10 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be held Thursday, September 28th, at 11:00 AM at Clifton Assembly of God Church with Pastor Jason McManus officiating.
