Robert Jaeger

Obituary Robert “Bob” Jaeger was born on February 27, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio to August and Margaret Weir Jaeger. During high school, Bob achieved Eagle Scout status and attended the 1st Scouting National Jamboree on the mall in Washington, D.C. in 1937. WWII interrupted college, and Bob joined the U. S. Army. He served with the 1st Cavalry Division, and later, the 2nd Armored Division serving in Europe. After of war, Bob joined Whirlpool Corporation in 1957 and moved to St. Joseph, Michigan in 1962. As the Builder Sales Manager for the Whirlpool Corp. for many years, he retired in 1979. He enjoyed the mountains and downhill skiing. He and Barbara spent many winters on the ski slopes in Colorado as official members of the “Over the Hill Gang” of skiers. Robert enjoyed golf, swimming, spending time with family, and always appreciated the latest cars. In 2011, Bob and Barbara moved to Colorado to be with family and grandchildren. They lived together in a beautiful Independent senior citizen facility in Grand Junction, CO. Bob called it his retirement “country club”. Robert Jaeger is survived by his wife Barbara, who lives in Grand Junction, CO close to his devoted daughter, Lark Jaeger-Delaney and always their son-in-law, Gerry Delaney. His surviving son, Reid Robert Jaeger (his best friend) lived in Whitmore Lake, Michigan. Robert spent time with his two grandchildren, Tye and Shae Delaney. He will be remembered by family and friends as the kindest, friendliest, gentlest and most approachable, and peaceful person on earth. This earth is not the same without Robert Jaeger. Robert Jaeger will rest in peace as he gave so much peace to others. Robert Jaeger will be greatly missed every day by his family and friends. Much love to you, Robert Jaeger. We all miss your wonderful spirit and kindness. Barbara Jaeger, Reid Jaeger, Lark Delaney, Gerry Delaney, Grandchildren and the rest of the family.
