Robert Glenn Frost "Bob" joined Our Heavenly Father on Monday, 4/13/2026. Bob was born to Charles and Hazel (Talbot) Frost on 5/12/1937 in Meeker, CO and spent the beginning of his life in Grand Junction, CO. He met the love of his life, NeVelda Smith, while picking up milk from her family. They attended church together and all social happenings were through their church, 1st Assembly of God. Most of their lifelong friendships were formed here. They were married March 18, 1960, at the church. Bob was in the US Army & Reserves from 1959-1965, earning the Rank of Sargeant E-7. He worked in Lumber Yards in Cedaredge, Fruita and Grand Junction. After adopting Sandy and Glen the family moved to Steamboat Springs where Bob was a Bank Manager for many years! Bob and 2 partners opened the Straightline, specializing in Fishing & Ski/Sports Equipment for several years. Bob and NeVelda returned to Grand Junction, where Bob worked at Peachtree Lumber and Harbert Lumber doing Outside Commercial Sales until retirement at 72. Flyfishing and flytying were Bob's favorite hobby since childhood. Bob made flies for stores all over Western Colorado and gave his flies as treasured gifts to friends. He taught a program through the VA Hospital to Vets teaching flytying and then flyfishing with their own flies. His love of God's creation and animals was evident in all that he did. He loved sitting on his patio watching the birds and looking at his garden. Fishing, Gardening, Hiking, and Camping were only a few of his favorite hobbies. Bob had a heart of gold and was never one to boast of his acts of kindness. If someone was in need, he stepped up! He often bought groceries for someone in line in need. His son, Glen, is so grateful for the many fishing and hunting trips and memories they had together. Sandy is blessed to have had the last 17 years in his home, sitting on the patio soaking up his wisdom. NeVelda says their relationship was loving and carefree, due to Bob's kindness. She enjoyed their trips and hobbies. Retirement brought more camping, fishing, friends and adventures. Donations can be made to Hope West in lieu of flowers. Truly honor Bob with your own Random Acts of Kindness.
ROBERT FROST definitely didn't lead a 'Road Less Traveled' in life!
