Robert Walter Elston

Robert W. Elston, age 87, died April 25, 2024. He passed away at HopeWest in Grand Junction, Colorado with family by his side. 

Robert was born on January 4, 1937 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Frank and Esther Elston. Robert grew up in Littleton with his brother (Lloyd) and sisters (Hazel, Dorothy, Katheryn, and Pauline). He attended Littleton High School. 

Robert met Beth and they soon married. They started their family and had Lynn. 

Robert had many hobbies that included fly fishing, building model boats, puzzles, and carpentry. Robert worked as a drywaller. Each Christmas, he would build some elaborate sprinkle doughnut display for his boss. Each display was made from drywall. One of the displays was a working merry-go-round.

Beth and Robert purchased a RV and travelled the United States. One of his favorite areas was the Pacific Northwest. 

Robert is survived by his sister Pauline, grandchildren Stephanie Wenholz and her husband Clinton, Jarrod Castillo and his wife Carly, his great grandchildren Michael, Kendra, Jaysce, Leilani, Araiya, and Izri. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
