Robert "Bob" Coady passed away with his daughter Katy by his side on August 27th, 2026, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Teresa Tuchscherer and Coady Shawcroft provided comfort and were instrumental in Bob's care in the days preceding Bob's passing. 

Bob was born on June 21st, 1932, in Georgetown Iowa at home. He spent his younger year on his parents' farm until he joined the US Air Force in 1952. He proudly served his country as an Aircraft Mechanic until his Honorable Discharge in 1956. 

Bob met and married Trixie Harvey while stationed in Roswell New Mexico. They had 4 children together. Bob is preceded in death by his son Mike Coady and daughter Donna Shawcroft. He is survived by his son Pat Coady, daughter-in-law Kathleen Troyer Coady. Daughter Katy Hesseltine, son-in-law Bryan Hesseltine. As well as 3 grandchildren- Coady Shawcroft, Laura Gunderson, Devin Smithson and 4 great grandchildren- Kyler and Ava Gunderson and Flora and Tess Shawcroft and son-in-law Doug Shawcroft. 

Bob earned a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Mexico and a Masters in Industrial Arts from the University of Northern Colorado. He began his teaching career at York Junior High School in 1963 and retired from teaching in 1980. He worked at Montgomery Ward part time during his teaching career and after he retired from teaching worked full-time till they closed. He then worked at Sears until he retired in 2004. 

Bob enjoyed woodworking, collecting tools, photography and everything John Wayne. He was a Boy Scout Leader for many years and enjoyed it very much. He enjoyed traveling in his retirement with friends and family.
