Richard (Dick), 91 died the January 21st, 2026, following a brief illness. He was born November 24th, 1934 in Los Angles, CA. Dick was the 1st born son of Richard Alonzo and Orphia May Perry Lockyer. Dick attended Polytech high school in Riverside, CA.
He had been employed as an automobile salesman and sales manager in the automobile industry for 54 years. Dick was a graphic artist employed as a sign painter for 10 years in CA. He worked for KTLA TV in Hollywood, CA as an artist.
Dick owned his own sign company in Grand Junction, CO for 3 years. He had several horses he cared for in the past years.
He was a board member of Broadway Friendly Bible church, also a member of Clifton Christian Church. Dick played guitar and sang in many western slope churches.
Dick was friendly and outgoing; he loved God and served Him all of his life. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, son, Richard David Lockyer, and his first wife, Dana Joanne Presnell. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rhoda Maureen Pace Lockyer, daughters Deborah Ann Lockyer, and Lori Joanne Lockyer, his son Joshua Thomas (Chelsea), and 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren. His brother Daniel (Marie) Perry Lockyer and sister Faye Maybelle Lockyer-Bailey.
Memorial Services will be held on April 11th, 2026, 12pm-2pm at Browns Cremation and Funeral Service. 904 North 7th Street, Grand Junction, CO 81501. Lunch will be served immediately following the service.
