Randal Glen “Randy” Mendenhall, 48, passed away on October 30, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born on September 16, 1977, in the same city he called home throughout his life, Randy was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend.
Randy worked as a mechanic, a profession that suited his hands-on nature and problem-solving skills. He took pride in his work and was known for his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. Whether it was fixing an engine or offering support during tough times, Randy’s generosity left a lasting impression on those around him.
He found joy in the outdoors and spent much of his free time surrounded by nature. Camping trips under the stars, paddle boarding across calm waters, and afternoons at the shooting range were among his favorite pastimes. These moments were often shared with family and friends—connections that meant everything to him.
Randy deeply valued time with loved ones. He is remembered by his parents, Richard and Mary Mendenhall; his sister, Cheryl Brenner; and his three children: Raven, Sam, and Mateo. His presence will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
In honor of Randy’s memory and in lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to support diabetes awareness.
May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire acts of kindness and love for the outdoors. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2025, from 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM at Long Family Park - Grand Mesa Shelter E 1/2 Rd entrance. Please bring a lawn chair & a drink of your choice to share a toast in honor of Randy.
