Ramon Grugel

Ramon Carl Grugel, born on March 16, 1943, deceased July 25, 2014. Ramon Carl Grugel of Mack, Colorado, died July 25, 2014, at the age of 71 at Hope West Hospice in Grand Junction, Colorado. A committal service will be held on August 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado, 1830 Riverside Parkway, Grand Junction. Ramon, also known as Ray, was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. He acquired numerous medals during his 22 years of service during the Vietnam era from 1961 to 1982. He was also an Instrumentalist Supervisor in the Air force Band and a Financial Superintendent. Ray was born in Amherst, Ohio, and graduated from Watertown High School in Watertown, Wisconsin on June 7, 1961. Survivors include his mother, Meta Grugel of Watertown, brother Kenneth Grugel of Waterloo, Wisconsin, sisters  Marie Hurt of Le Mars, Iowa and Kathleen Purtill of Clifton, Colorado. Also one niece and seven nephews. Ray was a proud member of the Moose organization in Grand Junction.
