Ralph Aubrey Young

Ralph Aubrey Young Feb 10, 1954 - May 20, 2024 

Ralph Aubrey Young 70 of Grand Junction passed away on May 20, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Ralph was born in Montrose, CO and spent his early years in Delta, CO. In 1972 he married his high school sweetheart Ardith Kim Young then in 1973 joined the Airforce. He spent time in Mississippi, South Dakota, Japan, Italy, Germany, Djibouti and Maryland. 

After retiring from the Airforce, he and his three children moved back to Grand Junction, CO. Ralph enjoyed reading and watching the drag races, he spent most of his time with his children and grandchildren which he dearly loved. Ralph was very proud of his service in the Airforce as well as his many years working for Autozone "He was their Million-Dollar asset and was royalty." He loved to help the community, his coworkers, and most of all his family any way he could. 

Ralph is survived by two sisters Donna Ferganchick and Nancy Johnson. Three brothers Harold Young, Butch Young and Ray Young. Two daughters Charity Garcia, Michelle Young one son Brian and Amelia Young. Six grandchildren Matthew and Christina Rogers, Nathan Rogers, Trey Garcia, Brennan Young, Allison Young and Great Granddaughter Violet Claire Rogers. 

Ralph was proceeded in death by his parents Dorse and Lillian Young, sister June Young and two sons-in-law, Gene Garcia, and Mike Rogers. 

We will always remember his special smile, caring heart, and that warm strong embrace you always gave us. Ralph will be deeply missed by his family.
