Peg “Peggy” Lawyer was born September 29, 1954, in Grand Junction, CO, to Ben & Rachel Guillen. After a long, brave battle with pancreatic cancer, she went home to be with the Lord on December 18, 2025, while at HopeWest Hospice in Grand Junction, CO.

Peggy was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She had a vibrant personality that lit up any room she walked into and a joyful love for God that made others excited to know the Lord. She loved music, dancing, spending quality time with her family and friends, and enjoyed sunny weekends that included yard sailing, milk shakes, attending church.

Peggy earned her associate’s degree from Mesa State College and spent her entire career as an ESL teaching assistant. Working with kids brought her so much joy, making it difficult for her to retire in 2022.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Rachael Snow, her son-in-law, Ron Snow, and her granddaughter, Avery Snow. She is also survived by her brothers Jesse Guillen, Ted Guillen, and Phil Guillen, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her sisters Agnes Sandoval, Joanne Martinez, and Maria Galindo.

Peggy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held at Fellowship Church on May 2nd, 2026, at 11 am.
