Patricia Lou Fischer

August 1, 1933 — December 30, 2024

Patricia Lou Fischer, age 91 passed away December 30, 2024 peacefully under the compassionate care of Hopewest Hospice in Grand Junction Colorado. Her eldest daughter Robin was by her side when she passed.

Born August 1, 1933 in Hutchinson. Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Thelma Clark. She graduated from Owatonna High School in Owatonna, MN. There she met the one and only love of her life Richard W. Fischer and raised 4 children. The family lived in Owatonna Minnesota many years before Patricia and Richard made the decision to move to Tampa Florida to escape the brutal Minnesota winters. They were married for 46 years before he passed away in Tampa Florida in 2002.

Patricia was mostly a homemaker but enjoy several part-time jobs throughout her lifetime. Her favorite being a teacher’s assistant at an elementary school where she worked with kids.

In 2010 Patricia moved with her daughter Robin and son in law Kim to Grand Junction Colorado where she lived with them several years before moving to Solstice senior living in Grand Junction. There she became an ambassador for the facility welcoming new resistance and making them feel welcome. She enjoyed meeting new people and especially talking with young people and making them laugh. She would often say if she could put a smile on one person’s face it made her day.

Patricia’s children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her greatest joy. She loved her chocolate, books, favorite tv shows, music, Scrabble, watching nature and taking care of her furry and feathered grand babies.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Fischer, and sisters Marilyn Edwards and Shirley Sandberg.

She is survived by sister Joanne (John) Pegg, brother Hootie (Marlis) Clark, children Robin (Kim) Artlip, Mark Fischer, Sara Bramlett, Leslie (Rusty) Smith. 4 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.

 

There will be no service.
