Murl Eason Seeley, age 69, went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2022, following a six month battle with esophageal cancer. He was born August 26, 1953 in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was the son of the late Ralph William and Eleanor Murl Seeley. Murl graduated Central High School and attended Mesa State College. Murl had been employed as a business reply clerk for the United States Postal Service for 35 years. After retiring from the post office, he did lawn care up until 2 months of his passing. He was a member Redlands Community Church. He was not only a member of the church, he served the Lord in many ways, including, being a member of the deacon board, running Boys Brigade, manger of the softball team, member of the praise band, participating in VBS, running the Pinewood Derby races, and facility maintenance.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, softball, tennis, camping, and ATVing, but mostly spending time with friends and family. He found joy in his family and his love was second to none. He loved music and played in a band in high school, sang at church, played piano, guitar and bass guitar. He would lead his family in song at Cow Camp around the campfire. He was never afraid to step into a funny skit and make people laugh.
Murl was an example of a hard working man. He was generous with his time, talents and expertise, loving to serve and share. He was always ready to step in and lend a hand, especially if it involved building something. He loved Cow Camp and was always busy helping to keep it a beautiful refuge for his family and loved cutting firewood there.
Murl was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Eleanor Seeley. Murl is survived by his wife, Terry, son Jeff and his wife Gina, daughter, Julie and her husband Andy, grandchildren, Drew, Thomas, Lainie, Kaden, and Kylie, and brothers Ralph and Ray.
Memorial Services: Friday September 2, 2022 at 11:00 at Redlands Community Church, 2327 Broadway, Grand Junction, CO.
