Monty Jean Keegan, born on November 5, 1949, in Seattle, Washington and most recently residing in Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away on May 17th, 2026. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the warmth she brought to those who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted spouse, Daniel Keegan; her four sons, Sean Keegan, Kelly Keegan, Reed Padgett, and James Padgett; her daughters-in-law, Melissa Padgett, Nancy Padgett, and Alyx Keegan; her granddaughters, Amber Celis, Sarah Steffey, and Katie Padgett; and her two brothers, D. Glenn Foster and Dennis “Mo” Foster. Her memory will live on through the family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness, strength, and love.

Though born in Seattle and raised with deep roots connected to Atlanta, Georgia, Monty carried her caring spirit wherever life took her, creating lasting memories with those she loved most. She had a special fondness for ducks and chickens, a reflection of her gentle heart and appreciation for life’s simple joys.

A service will be held at a date to soon be determined. Allowing a time for grief and togetherness.
