He spent the majority of his life racing in various states and cities, competing in events ranging from supercross and arenacross to outdoor motocross. His talent on a bike was undeniable, and he earned the respect and admiration of many in the motocross community.
Mikey never went to a race without giving it his all. He lived life full-throttle—on the track and off. His love for racing, his children, his friends, and his family defined who he was. He was a fierce competitor, a loyal friend, a proud father, and a beloved son and brother.Outside of racing, Mikey also enjoyed golfing with friends and family, cracking the funniest inappropriate jokes, and fully believing he was a professional fisherman every time he went fishing. These moments allowed him to relax, reflect, and enjoy life’s simple pleasures.Mikey’s legacy lives on through the dirt he raced on, the grass he drove the golf ball on, the waters he cast a line into, the family he loved deeply, and the stories shared by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His personality and love were unmatched. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Motocross Prayer in Dedication to Mikey:
May every ride be better than the last,
May your tires grab and carry you fast.
May you have the angle in every berm,
May you accelerate out of each turn.
May your heart be strong and not grow weak,
May your footsteps be set for us to seek.
May your tracks be easy to follow as we speed on,
Never to forget the sorrow.
May, as we ride, we remember you,
Knowing how you loved the sport too.
In our hearts, you will forever be dear,
Every time we shift a gear.
Ride in paradise. Godspeed #737
