Michael Edward Langan

Michael Edward Langan, 65, a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and cherished friend, died June 14, 2025, in Grand Junction, Colorado. He was born December, 3rd 1959, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of the late John Langan and Angus Carr Langan.

Michael attended Saint Petersburg Catholic High School, Saint Petersburg Junior College and went on to receive his bachelor’s degree from Florida State University in 1983. He had a career in interior design for 42 years, where he designed layouts for banks, hospitals and most recently kitchen and bath designs for residential spaces. One of his greatest accomplishments was meeting Barbara Mieldazis whom he married in Saint Petersburg, Florida on August 20, 1983, and raising two sons.

Preceding Michael in death are his parents, brother Ron Langan, mother-in-law Laura Jane Mieldazis and nephew Jimmy White.

Michael is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of 42 years, beloved sons Kyle (Victoria) of Tallahassee and Tyler (Madison) of Gulfport, four siblings, many nieces and nephews, and many very close friends.

Michael was an active member of Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church of Gulfport. He enjoyed fly fishing, tending to bonsais, cooking, hosting friends and family, traveling and enjoying a fine bottle of wine.

Michael’s joy in life was his two sons and spending time making memories as a family.

A mass will be offered at Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Gulfport, Florida on July, 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with Father Patrick Rebel officiating.
