Michael Wayne Harriman was born in Petaluma, California, on January 24, 1958, to Annie Murphy and Roy Harriman.
Michael courageously battled cancer for a year and was a two-and-a-half-year stroke survivor. Due to his father’s military service, his family moved a few times, but he spent most of his childhood and teenage years in Modesto, California.
In the late 1970s, Michael welcomed his first two beautiful daughters. Then, in 1983, he met the love of his life, Brenda Gonzales, in Colorado. He embraced her son as his own and they had three more children together. They built a life filled with love, laughter, and family.
Throughout his life, Michael worked as a dedicated laborer. He loved spending time outdoors—especially fishing, camping, and watching football or classic westerns with his family.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife, Brenda Gonzales; his six children and their spouses — Kristina (Delton) Miller, Angela Harriman, Ron Gallegos, Michael Harriman II, Christopher Harriman (Jenifer Futrell), and Tina (Jacob) Sheridan; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his siblings — Dennis, Dondi, David, and Kathrine.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ed and Randy, and his grandson, Paul.
A Celebration of Life will be held on December 5th in Grand Junction, Colorado, to honor and remember the incredible man Michael was, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him.
