Maurine Douglas

On February 16, 2023, Maurine A. Douglas, AKA "Mo" got her wings and went to walk with the angels. She was 71 years old. Mo was born September 12, 1951, in Gunnison, Colorado. She was the daughter of the late Maurice and Georgine Norton. Mo was proceeded in death by her beloved cat Claudia and is survived by her fur babies, Halston and Sake. She lived most of her life in Colorado with short stays in Arizona and Virginia.

Mo was a longtime customer service rep. at the Safeway on the Redlands before it closed. In this role, she interacted with almost every family in the community and had a way of making them feel valued and respected. Due to her warmhearted friendly demeanor, everyone was treated with care, and they never forgot Mo.

After retiring, Mo's beautiful heart continued on with the people she knew and neighbors she was blessed with. Mo will be remembered by many, many people in the community that loved her and shared their lives with her.

A celebration of life will be held on April 13, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Canyon View Vineyard Church . If you knew Mo, you knew how much her beloved cats meant to her.
