It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved and beautiful MaryAnn M. Webster, who was called home by Jehovah on June 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. MaryAnn was born on September 9, 1946, in Taos, New Mexico.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Bernabe Lopez and Corina Martinez of Chamisal, New Mexico, and was preceded in death by her siblings Bernie, Daniel, Orlando, Rumaldita, and Kathryn.
MaryAnn was a gifted and driven student, excelling in school to the point of skipping three grades. With the support of La Raza in California, she pursued higher education, earning her Master's Degree in Accounting. Her career was marked by excellence; she left her "sparkle" everywhere she worked, climbing the ranks to become a top CPA accountant in Beverly Hills before continuing her successful career in Grand Junction, Colorado.
A devoted Jehovah's Witness, MaryAnn was baptized and embraced her faith wholeheartedly, taking immense pride in sharing her beliefs with everyone she had the pleasure of meeting. Her heartfelt desire was for her loved ones to walk Jehovah's path, envisioning a joyful reunion in His new world. She often spoke of a dream for that new system: a grand house where she could lovingly care for orphaned children.
MaryAnn found joy in life's simple pleasures: taking care of her precious dog Ginger, gardening, shopping, engaging in deep conversations, and recounting her rich life stories. She treasured time spent with loved ones, delighting in reading to her great-nieces and nephews and imparting the wisdom of Jehovah's word.
MaryAnn is survived by her daughter, Marney C. Webster, and her cherished grandsons, Corey L. Webster and Cameron McCune. Her love for them was boundless, and her greatest hope was to meet them again in the New World. She also leaves behind her siblings Sylvia Diaz, Louie Diaz, Pearl Lopez, and Christine Lopez, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who adored her. Paul Crawford, her best friend, was a constant companion for the last five years, sharing beautiful conversations and a deep spiritual bond. MaryAnn held Paul in high esteem, praying for their reunion in the New System.
MaryAnn would have loved to share the following scriptures with those she loved:
