Marie Ruth Foreman
February 20, 1949 — April 7, 2024
Born February 20, 1949 in Oskaloosa, Iowa, she was the adored daughter of Robert and Eleanor Day. Marie graduated from Clackamas High School in Clackamas County, Oregon and Western Oregon Teacher's College in Monmouth, Oregon.
Marie married her childhood sweetheart, Chris Foreman, in 1970. The two met while picking berries as 13-year-olds and stayed committed to each other for 54 years.
Marie treasured teaching children and spent her career nurturing and educating thousands of students. Marie blessed us all with her giving heart and gave everything she had to her family, her church, and her students. Many a Sunday morning, Marie found joy serving in Sunday School, and Summer could not turn into Fall without her volunteering in Vacation Bible School. Her most cherished activity was singing praises to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her voice rang out high and loud especially when she sang about her soon-to-be home in heaven. While there was breath in her lungs, Marie brought joy to those around her. Her contagious smile and laugh stayed with her to the end.
Marie was preceded in death by her brother Marc Day, and her parents Robert and Eleanor Day.
Marie is survived by her husband, Chris Foreman, her son Paul, her daughters Sarah and Kellie, her sister Charlotte, and the joy of her life, her grandchildren: Olivia, Grayson, Dawson, Avalon, Drea, Ava, and Landon. She will live on in the smiles of her grandchildren and in the hearts of her many friends.
Per her request, we will be having an ice cream and balloons celebration of her life on Friday, April 12 at 2pm at the Loma Community Church.
