Marcella Jean Wilbur, aged 70, passed away on January6, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with illness.

Born on January 15, 1953, in San Mateo, California, Marcella was the beloved daughter of the late Carl James Alyea Sr. and Glenna Eloise Alyea.

Marcella graduated from Mesa State College in Grand Junction, Colorado, in 1993. She pursued a career as a Pre-School Teacher and Hairdresser, bringing joy to the lives of many children and clients throughout her working years.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Marcella found solace and contentment in nature. She spent her free time hiking in the mountains and camping under the open sky. Her creative soul thrived through crafts, which allowed her to express her unique talents and artistic flair.

Those who knew Marcella can attest to her friendly nature. She had an infectious sense of humor and would often be found sharing jokes and laughter with those around her.

Above all else, Marcella had an unwavering devotion to her faith in God and her family. They were what brought her strength. Additionally, she had a deep fondness for animals – their unconditional love brought great joy to her heart.

Marcella is preceded in death by her grandparents; her mother Glenna Eloise Alyea; father Carl James Alyea Sr.; brothers Kirk Rondell Alyea and Carl James (Jimmy) Alyea Jr.; and sisters Shirelle Mentzer and Michele Geiselharl.

She is survived by her loving husband Ronald M. Wilbur. Marcella also leaves behind her sister Brenda (Bob) as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her kindness and guidance.

Marcella's unwavering spirit and the love she shared will forever be remembered. She has left an indelible mark in the hearts of all those who had the privilege to know her, and her absence will be deeply felt.
