Loretta Marie Herod

Loretta "Tib" Herod, age 98, died on Feb. 13, 2024 after a brief illness.

Born July 26, 1925 in Fall River, MA. She was the daughter of the late Manuel Mendes & Loretta (Higgins) Mendes.
Tib graduated from St. Anne's School of Nursing in Fall River, MA. with her Registered Nurse degree. She was a nurse for 30 years with 10 years at Princess Kapiolani Hospital in Honolulu, HI. It was her dream job.

 She attended First Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction for 12 years until a month ago.  She enjoyed hobbies such as reading, cross stitch, & needlepoint. Tib enjoyed friends in both Craig, Co. and in Grand Junction and Hawaii.
 She was a caretaker for 3 husbands- Roger Thiboutot who died of a Stroke at 49 years, Joseph Paul, died of Leukemia, and Walter Herod who died of natural causes.

Tib is survived by her daughter Sandy Harding, 3 Grandchildren-Krista Selan (Travis) in Alaska, Erika Everett (Jim) in TN. and Rebecca Scott (Dustin) in OK. She had 3 Great Grandchildren- Alex Campbell (Brent) in CO., William Everett, TN. and Tony Everett, TN.
