Lois Ann Gribble

Lois Ann Gribble, 78, of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025. She was born on January 18, 1947, in Canon City, Colorado, to Harold and Lois Langford.

Lois spent her early childhood in Canon City before her family moved to the Western Slope of Colorado, where her father worked in the uranium industry. She attended school in both communities and graduated from Nucla High School in 1965, where she built friendships and memories she carried throughout her life.

In 1967, Lois married Cecil Gribble, and together they raised two sons whom were her pride and joy. She devoted many years to being a homemaker and later worked for Capco Industries before retiring.

She is survived by her sons, Dean (Danielle) Gribble of Grand Junction, and Lee (Becky) Gribble of Grand Junction; and her niece, Shelly (Leif) Karo of Grand Junction, and their children—Shelby, Wade, Lane, and Sierra—whom she loved very much and spoiled them like they were her grandchildren. Lois was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Hightower; and her brother, Thomas Langford.

Lois had a generous heart, a kind spirit, and she loved spending time with her family. She was musically talented—she sang beautifully and also played music, and many of her happiest moments were spent enjoying music with family. Many family gatherings were spent singing and playing music with her equally talented family members. A favorite being the song "Forever in Blue Jeans".

She was very supportive of her sons throughout their lives. She spent countless hours at BMX tracks, football fields, and baseball diamonds, proudly cheering them on and encouraging their passions. Her presence, encouragement, and dedication were important to her as their mother.

She particularly enjoyed trips to Lake Powell with her extended family, where some really great memories were made. She had a great sense of humor and was always fun to be around. She was an extremely devoted fan of the Denver Broncos—always cheering loudly and faithfully for her team.

She will be very missed by all who were privileged to know her.
