Jayne Fougnier Bailey came to us all on May 19, 1937 in New Castle, Colorado, the by product of a loving relationship of Lester "Bud" and Olga Fougnier, At the age of 86, on April 6, 2024, she passed away in the loving care of the Beehive in Grand Junction. When she was 6 years old Bud and Olga and their only child Jayne pulled up roots and moved their young family to Loma, Colorado, Jayne valued and loved the life experiences that being the daughter of a farming family provided. Just before graduating from Fruita High School, in 1954, she married her high school sweetheart Frank Bailey, This marriage of 30 years brought forth her only child Dennis.Jayne was a very proud and supportive mother. Some of the many things that brought joy to Jayne's life was spending time with her parents and family at the ranch on Blue Mesa. She loved her career, having worked for 32 years for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union, as office manager, before her retirement in 1999. She was proud of her responsibilities as a Past President of the Elks Ladies, and as President of the State of Colorado and Grand Junction Letter Carriers Auxiliary. Jayne was especially proud of her home where she could enjoy her hobbies including gardening, canning, cooking and decorating. She had a large group of supportive good friends and classmates to share her many talents with. Jayne has gathered with her high school classmates and close friends for monthly and yearly reunions, lunches and birthdays. She is especially proud of long-time friends Joyce, Marg, LuAnn, Eva Jane, and Darrell who she sees and talks to regularly.
