It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved son, Larry Travis Brethauer, on October 12, 2026. Larry was tremendously loved and will be remembered by his family and friends for the man he was, the lives he touched, and his uncensored humor. He proudly graduated from Northglenn High School in 2009 and shortly after began his lifelong career in construction. When Larry was not operating heavy equipment, you could find him with his best (canine) friend, Bubba, in the outdoors, fishing and hunting. Larry also treasured the time he spent on family and friend's ranches, herding and branding cattle and living the life of a Colorado cowboy. Larry shared a special bond with his grandmother Carol Brethauer, spending numerous years living with or near her, making memories they will cherish forever. His loss is felt deeply by our family and his friends, and he will forever be missed.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents Larry and Jean McCormick, on his mother's side and Ivan Brethauer, on his father's side. As well as his cherished Uncle Johnny and Auntie Dar.

Larry is survived by his parents, Jodie McCormick and Randall Brethauer, his sister Kaylee Morgan, his grandmother Carol Brethauer, and many other deeply loved family members.

At Larry’s request, there will be no formal funeral services. In the spring, Larry and Bubba will be spread together on their last side-by-side ride atop the meeker mountains.
