Kenneth Shackles,

July 20, 1943 — December 1, 2014

Obituary for Ken Shackles: Ken was born in 1943 in Denver, Colorado. He married Jeanne Braday on August 12, 1961. They had four children, and were happily married for 53 years. He is survived by his wife and four children, Cindy (Randy) Norris, Ken (Michele) Shackles, Troy (Bonnie) Shackles, and Steve (Karen) Shackles, as well as six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. In addition he is survived by his mother, Mary Lou Shackles; brother, Joe (Lila Mae) Shackles; and sisters, Joan (Fred) Mattox, and Pat McCleery. Fondly known as Papaw, he was always concerned with the needs of his family, and hosted many friends from the congregation on trips. One of his favorite locations was Lake Powell, where he loved to boat and fish. In addition, he loved to camp, hunt, ride motorcycles, go 4-wheeling, and many other outdoor activities. He served his God, Jehovah, with all of his heart. Through his serving as a congregation elder and other numerous assignments, he was constantly teaching others and working to support Jehovah’s Kingdom and promises for the future. Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday December 6th at the Clifton Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
